Ascending Leith Hill

Site-specific soundscape, Ascending Leith Hill by Jack Kingslake.

This site-specific soundscape by composer Jack Kingslake responds to the landscape of Leith Hill. The piece combines field recordings with electronic and acoustic instrumentaion to create an immersive musical soundscape that aims to replicate the emotionally regulating experience of exploring the landscape. Jack worked with mental health charity Waythrough to collect sounds at National Trust Leith Hill Place and combined these with percussive instruments and vocal techniques.
